Imagination is what enables our developed brains to reconcile the facts of life, long enough to survive and perpetuate the species. There have always been those that harness and organize the superstitious part of our imagination. Religion has its roots in the beauty of imagination. Beauty is a powerful thing.

Religion and Elections

Obama won the "religiously unaffiliated." Two lessons to learn from this fact: 1. People of faith must vote, even if "their" candidate has a "bad" affiliation. 2. People of faith must use reason and science to justify our social policies.

Religion is the cause of war?

As of 2004, there had been 1763 major conflicts in recorded history. Only 123 of them were fought over religious difference.
