Custard & Angel Food Cake
1 angel food cake
3 cups half-and-half
4 T cornstarch
1 tsp almond flavoring
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 stick butter/margarine
- Bring milk to a boil.
- Mix sugar, egg and cornstarch together.
- Add a small amount og hot milk to mixture, then add all to hot milk, stirring constantly.
- Stir in almond flavoring and butter. Mix well.
- Slice angel food cake into serving pieces and pour custard on each slice.
