1 angel food cake
3 cups half-and-half
4 T cornstarch
1 tsp almond flavoring
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 stick butter/margarine

  1. Bring milk to a boil.
  2. Mix sugar, egg and cornstarch together.
  3. Add a small amount og hot milk to mixture, then add all to hot milk, stirring constantly.
  4. Stir in almond flavoring and butter. Mix well.
  5. Slice angel food cake into serving pieces and pour custard on each slice.
